both the recording & performance are absolutely stunning, and i don't say that just for reasons of hyperbole, it truly is one of the best Jerry recordings, of a top performance, you will ever hear; kudos to Bob Macfarland for the incredible capture

Thanks for sharing this. Train to Cry has always been my favorite JGB tune. I wish the GD had started the CC Rider> Train to Cry segue much sooner than they had.

I always thought it went like this;

"What make your cry, will make you laugh"

I had to change my post after seeing what Easy Ed did to this show.

Thanks for the post,I went to that show and 7 others on that tour.Jerry was at a peak with the JGB at that point(IMO),and for some reason the Dylan tunes were just smokin',Masterpiece,Tangled Up,and especially Positively 4th st.,you would be well served to track down a copy of the Tower show from 2/23/80 for the Positively,it's to my ear the best JGB song I've ever heard.As per my luck I went to the late show.

Thanks to Arb and TB

Garcia just rips on the Tiger...three phases to his solo with three different effects with that distinct(early-tiger) attack. I'll seek out the rest and take jerlouvis up on his 2/23/80 suggestion.
